Spiritual Formation is the goal of our livesSpiritual formation is a process and a goal. We are "predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ." That is a big statement that means it is our destiny that we will change (through a process and partnership with God) until we look, feel, think and act like His Son, Christ. Our Christian lives will only work when each part of ourselves is transformed to be like Christ and the Lord is commited to that goal.
In the chart below, you will see a representation of a "soul" or person. It shows four parts, heart, mind, emotions and body with Christ living at the center of life. As we intentionally take each part of ourselves to Christ, He heals, transforms and makes our thoughts, emotions, hearts and bodies like His - and that is the goal.

Start with whichever of these areas you feel you need to work on first. As you grow in one area it will affect the others. For example, working in the heart area to learn to be content will effect your emotions, mind and body.
