Keep it simple
It's hard to keep our lives simple when we are assaulted daily and from so many directions with messages of more, more, more. It would seem that living a down-to-earth life could almost be considered un-American because we are not living up to our role as endless consumers.
Simple is not about how much money you have or don't have. No matter what you've heard, being poor does not make us holier or being wealthy make us evil. It is not wealth or lack of it that is the question, but about learning to have our needs and wants centered and met in Christ.
Life in the making is what our days are about.
It is the moments that we live fully present with the Lord, walking forward with Him that makes like sweet and precious.
In the pages to come we will start to gain a picture of what an unencumbered life should look like for you. You and Christ will determine the life style that He desires for you and design a life that is unpretentious in nature and has as it's greatest possesion your relationship with Him.
A lifestyle choice
If your life feels complicated, if it feels stressed, if it feels out of control then make a choice to examine your life in detail and take it to its simpliest form. To:
- Live humbly before your God
- Learn to live with what you need and within your means
- Find beauty, value, and worth all around you
- Do a good job at whatever you do
- Don't try to be more or less than God's design for you
- Love your family with all you are not all you can buy them
- Own what you actually need and make it simple to care for
- Keep an eternal focus
- Live like one camping this side of eternity, don't take it too seriously and landscape it
Eternal focus brings perspective
Learn how our eternal focus effects our life here today.
What do we really need?
This question is absolutely essential, but let me expand on it.
Simple is about relationships first.
Putting our relationships first changes our priorities on everything.
What you own, owns you
All our possessions have potential to steal something from us.
Declutter Your Life
Declutter your home, work, relationships and make room for your life.
Goals manage our life
If you don't know where you are going, how will you know when you get there?
Boundaries guard your goals.
Boundaries are easy, they define who you are, what you want, and what you don't want.
Time Management
If we do not decide what to do with our days it will be decided for us.
Debt and Finances
On the "finances" page you will find more information but we will talk about it just a bit here.

Simple living is part of spiritual formation and growth
because we are only able to live this life style joyously as our hearts, mind, body, and emotions find their true home in Christ. He becomes the greatest desire and treasure and the things of the earth become a crummy imitation of excellence.
Finding peace in simplicity will give you a foundation for a great life
