Life in the Making

I have always liked this song by Cindy Morgan. It talks of finding that the moments of our lives are what hold the precious, often overlooked details that make up a well lived life.

What we strive for and believe will bring us a successful life don't usually end up being what brings fulfillment. It is in the details that life happens, the big accomplishments are only one of those.

As Christians, we keep our eyes on the goal of being with the Lord one day in heaven, but right now we are here on earth. Right now we walk with Christ and it is the path we tread with Him and with those around us that matters most. Joy is available right now, no reservation required, just join in.

Life - dive in

You are making your life with every breath you take, every moment you ignore, every choice to be present right now or to think only in the future.

You can miss your life striving for some day. Don't stop making plans and goals. Don't give up dreaming and thinking of what
could be. These are important and give direction and depth to
our futures but while you are dreaming and planning find Christ in the mundane. Look with Him at the roses you pass and bend down and take in the aroma of your life.

Your life is in the making of the moments. Grow, work, seek after God, live every second with Him, find others to love and serve and enjoy and learn to be thankful in the moment.

This IS your life - this second - this day - dive in and find what is precious and learn to delight in the journey.
