1) A quick focus to get us started - here we put away the cares of our day to focus on Christ. A Quick Focus No matter how your day has gone so far, no matter how hectic it is, no matter your state of mind right now - Christ is with you. I invite you to close your eyes for just a few seconds. During that time just allow yourself to know that He is present with you. Let yourself know that He loves you, is there with you because He wants to be, and that He has a plan for not only this day but all your days. If you find something in the way then clear it up with Him right now. If that leaves no time to read the rest of this then don't read it. Your relationship with Christ is THE most important thing in your life.
When you feel at peace - not that everything in your life is perfect - just that you know He is with you, then I invite you now to the rest of the ezine. Main Article Learning to walk with Christ starts with realizing that moment by moment He is here with us. We may have yet to really learn how He speaks to us but we can start by just knowing that He is there. When we argue with our spouse, when we are stuck in traffic, doing the mundane chores of the day, going to work, picking up after the kids, making appointments, enjoying a brilliant sunset, watching an old comedy on television, He is there to walk with us through it.
In Scripture the word “walk” means three different things:
Putting it all together Our kids learn to walk by falling down a lot, but we joy at each attempt, we encourage and delight in them as they move to the next level of growth. We do not push them beyond what they can do for their age and ability but go with them, putting out a hand to balance, speaking words to teach and guide and love them through the process. The Lord, our Father, walks with us as we grow. He is there to encourage us and delight in us, He understands that we are children and growing at our own pace. His goal is that we reach maturity, which means we walk and talk and act like Jesus. Each day, know the Lord is with you. He walks with you through your life, helping you to know how to live and offering a kind of life that is His own. If you have fallen before in your attempts, know that is part of learning to walk. This month, walk with Christ, deliberately, thoughtfully, joyfully knowing He is there to help. As you learn to walk with Christ you will find that He is there in every area of your life and helping you to walk worthy in each of them.
